Prickly situation

I can't help but love hedgehogs they are just so cute and they help to eat all the slugs and snails. What is not to like?? So when I saw this adorable hostess set from Stampin' Up called Love you lots I had to grab it :)
I have stamped this duo out in Chocolate chip then coloured them using the following write markers: Sahara sand and tip top taupe for their bodies and chocolate chip and soft suede for their spikes.
The sentiment is from the here for you stamp set and the design paper is from the a little foxy designer series papers. I finished it off with some hand drawn edges and a few jewels for a bit of sparkle.

Foxy friend

I have just passed my driving test and thought as I am not at all confident with the car I have got I would go to a little local car park and try to practice my parking and stuff a bit. As I drove down the little side road to get into it a fox ran out right in front of my car across the road and under the fence on the other side. He has clearly practiced that move and I wasn't close enough to have been any real danger to him thankfully.
I got this super cute foxy friends stamp set a while ago and I have to say I LOVE it :D
You can make more than just the fox with it and i will show you more as I play more. For this card I kept it simple, I stamped the red fox in Real red and then cut round him. The frame he is in is from the tags and labels framelits. I made the black strip with 2 lines of washi tape from the pop of pink collection and stamped the same fox all over the card blank in smokey slate. the eyes and nose are a separate stamp that you use on top but don't worry it is easy as this set is a set of clear stamps so you can see just where you are stamping.

Up and away :)

This super cute elephant is from one of the hostess sets at Stampin' Up called Love you lots. I stamped straight onto smokey slate card in basic gray then cut round the elephant. I stamped out the balloons in melon mambo, pool party and daffodil delight then arranged them with some on one dimensional and the blue one on 2 dimentionals so it gives it a real 3D look. the balloons with their strings and the celebration sentiment are from the balloon celebration set. I have then used a couple of the cards from the new project life set called all year long. The card that is like a sky scene I put a small hole in each corner and threaded some of the black metallic thread though them to make a black frame around the edge.I finished it all off by drawing around the edge of the card and cutting the banner for the sentiment then adding some jewels for that touch of sparkle.

Swirly butterflies

I thought I would carry on the butterflies theme and I wanted to make my own backing paper so I thought why not try one of the one sheet wonder ideas again. One sheet wonder is taking one piece of paper and cutting it so there is no waste and you can make a load of cards from the one piece. So I took some stamps from the fun swirly bird set and teamed them up with a couple of the butterflies from the papillon potpouri set. I used old olive for the leaves, crumb cake for the branches, rose red and so saffron for the swirly flowers and crushed curry and flirty flamingo for the butterflies.
I stamped randomly all over the paper and got the images as close together as I could. so that in the end it looked like this....

I marked out and cut the paper along the following measurements. I have also numbered the sections so you can see what parts I used for which card. I made a total of 8 cards from this one sheet (four 5x7 cards, one 4x4, one 5x5 and two C6 size).

And these are the cards. I layered the patterned pieces on black card and cut some beautiful butterflies out of more of the black card to add some decoration. The dies that I used for the butterflies are 2 sets from stampin' up caller Bold butterflies and butterflies they cut so nicely and make it look like I have done so much more work than I have :)

 Card 1 - 4x4 size.
The pink strip on here and that you will see on a few of the cards is washi tape from the pop of pink collection.

Delight in nature

I have spent a lot of time over the last few days trying to tidy my garden up and keep the slugs off some new plants that I picked up at amazing discount prices. All that playing got me inspired for this card. I used cucumber crush to stamp the pretty swirls from stampin' up's Falling flowers set. then added the little butterfly in wisteria wonder ink that is from papillon potpourri and stamped a second one onto a spare bit of card that I then used the elegant butterfly punch to punch out and for added sparkle added some clear wink of stella. the heart shape is from the sweet and sassy framelits and the sentiment is from the Me = Grateful set. I cut a couple of extra strips of tip top taupe card to finish it off and stuck on some pearls.

Pun intended

This is s very simple and quick card to make. I simply stamped the cute light bulbs onto the card blank and drew up from the cords to make them reach the top of the card. Then I added the outlines around the bulbs with a daffodil delight write marker. Put the sentiment at the bottom, drew the edge around the card then added a few of the enamel shapes from the brights collection.
I love this stamp set so be prepared to see much more from it :D

Missing you

I am loving this new Stampin' Up catalogue. The set I have used for this card is one of the hostess sets. The hostess sets you can get by getting some people together to make a joint order. You can have a party and all get to play with some great stamping items or you can have an online party. For this card I kept it very simple and used just the one stamp set called Gift of love. The stamps are 2 step stamp which means that you can stamp the outline and then if you want to there is a second stamp that will do the blocks of colour in the flowers and leaves. I stamped the outline stamp all over the card blank in pear pizzazz. Then I cut a smaller piece of whisper white card and stamped the outline again, but this time with black memento ink then used the 2 step method to add the peekaboo peach to the flowers and pear pizzazz for the leaves. The sentiment is also from this stamp set. To finish it I layered the flower image on some peekaboo peach card that I tore the bottom of to add some texture. Drew around the edge of the image and the edge of the card and used a pear pizzazz write marker to colour around the edge I drew around the flower.
