Pun intended

This is s very simple and quick card to make. I simply stamped the cute light bulbs onto the card blank and drew up from the cords to make them reach the top of the card. Then I added the outlines around the bulbs with a daffodil delight write marker. Put the sentiment at the bottom, drew the edge around the card then added a few of the enamel shapes from the brights collection.
I love this stamp set so be prepared to see much more from it :D

I am entering this card for the current stampin' royalty challenge which is to make a one layer card.

Missing you

I am loving this new Stampin' Up catalogue. The set I have used for this card is one of the hostess sets. The hostess sets you can get by getting some people together to make a joint order. You can have a party and all get to play with some great stamping items or you can have an online party. For this card I kept it very simple and used just the one stamp set called Gift of love. The stamps are 2 step stamp which means that you can stamp the outline and then if you want to there is a second stamp that will do the blocks of colour in the flowers and leaves. I stamped the outline stamp all over the card blank in pear pizzazz. Then I cut a smaller piece of whisper white card and stamped the outline again, but this time with black memento ink then used the 2 step method to add the peekaboo peach to the flowers and pear pizzazz for the leaves. The sentiment is also from this stamp set. To finish it I layered the flower image on some peekaboo peach card that I tore the bottom of to add some texture. Drew around the edge of the image and the edge of the card and used a pear pizzazz write marker to colour around the edge I drew around the flower.

My order is here :D

I am so excited as I got my first order through of goodies from the new catalogue yesterday. I couldn't resist having a play..... for this first card I used the super cute foxy friends stamps and vintage leaves for the back ground. The sentiment is from the happy happening set.

Flowers with swirly bird

You can tell I have had some days off. Here is a quick card for today. I have to be honest I did not like this stamp set when I first saw it but I fell in love with all the things other people were doing with it so had to join them :) The stamp set is called swirly bird and has a matching set of dies that let you cut shapes out of card that work really well with these stamps. I will be playing loads more with this set and the dies so I will show you what I mean. For the colours I wanted to use one of the new in colour ink colours called sweet sugarplum so with that as a starting point I then added in some more colours Rich razzleberry, Old olive, Daffodil delight and crumb cake. The sentiment is from another stamp set called One big meaning. There is no cutting involved in the is card at all so all you need is the stamps, ink and a ruler to re create it and you can change the sentiment and colours to fit whatever occasion.

Love & affection

The new catalogue is now out with all the great new sets you can buy and this is just one of them. I thought I would try and challenge myself so I decided to only use one piece of the 12 x 12 paper and the washi tape and card stock that goes with the Love and affection stamp set. So I made 6 cards...

And this is how much of the one sheet of 12 X 12 designer series paper I still have left. It is clear to see that you are going to be able to make a LOT of cards for your money!
